Details

We were contracted to install 21t of structural steelwork in order to support the elevated walk on ceiling installed by Norwood. The columns of the goal post structure were made from 203x203x46 UC with the main horizontal beams being made from 254x254x73 UC. This provided adequate support for the wall bearing 180x90x26 PFCs which would be used to carry the walk on ceiling panels.

Details

We supplied and installed 25t of galvanized structural steelwork for a chemical gas bunker at the Newport KLA development. The bunker has since been completed with RC walls and a roof structure which will interface with 360m2 of CF51+ comflor decking. Next phase of installation will be the 22m high stack and 6m high staircase once all cladding has been installed.

We completed the internal and external structural fit out of Cardiff Bay's most recent Lidl Supermarket. Brought in late to the project with the majority of the internal services fit out well under way, we were tasked with difficult and tight working conditionals whilst installing heavy gauge long steel sections to the existing roof trusses. We installed the steelwork in line with the program enabling the opening of the store several weeks after beginning the project.

Over the last month we have completed the final installation of apartment balconies at our Bristol project for Equans. The project involved the design, fabrication, galvanizing & powdercoating and installation of 57 2 storey apartment balconies across 6 blocks.

Each balcony was finished with 3 x 3mm aluminum soffit panels to conceal all connections of the balconies.

All 57 balconies were delivered to site with Hyperion 145 Pro Grip non-combustible decking boards pre-installed at our factory.

This our project at a community housing estate in Southmead, Bristol. We have created multipurpose entrances to the front end of the houses, using this unique entrance to the building it creates a bike store area which is located between the 3 middle columns and can hold up to 2 bikes. This enables the bikes to be stored vertically saving outdoor space. There are 4 different types of porches / bike stores which we have made.

Dr Who project was separated into 3 jobs

First of which was the removal of the main structural frame which gave the Dr Who building its unique shape and identity across the Cardiff Bay skyline.

Second was the single story mezzanine floor which enhanced the exhibition experience.

Thirdly was the 2 story office block located at the front of the building.
